This reduction print is the first of my bi-colour series " Sounds of ".
The reduction lino cut is a method of block printing in which each colour layer is taken from the same block. ... This means that an entire edition must be printed in one go – once you have carved into the block for the next layer, you can't go back to print more.
"Sounds of NOLA" inspired by Charlie Halloran
"You can't listen to music in New Orleans for too long before coming across trombonist Charlie Halloran. A fixture of the Crescent City's traditional jazz and Frenchmen Street scene, Charlie's band, the Tropicales, entertain weekly at Bacchanal Wine in the Bywater."
Each print is signed and numbered and part of an original edition of 6.
Every single print is different; all of them are made and printed by hand.
